Equipment

  • saucepan

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup bittersweet or semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 3 cups milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup peanut butter whiskey
  • ¾ cup chocolate peanut butter morsels
  • 2 tablespoons whipped cream for garnish

Instructions

Step 1:

  • In a saucepan, combine the milk, half and half, and a pinch of salt. Heat the mixture over medium-low heat until it starts to steam, but not boil.

Step 2:

  • Add the chocolate peanut butter morsels and bittersweet chocolate chips to the warmed milk mixture in the saucepan. Stir continuously until the chocolates have melted and incorporated into the mixture.

Step 3:

  • Remove the saucepan from heat and gradually add the peanut butter whiskey. Stir well to combine all the ingredients thoroughly.

Step 4:

  • Pour the prepared chocolate peanut butter milk into serving glasses and garnish with a dollop of whipped cream. Serve hot or refrigerate for a few hours to enjoy it chilled.

Notes

– For an extra velvety texture, blend the hot chocolate peanut butter milk mixture using an immersion blender.
– Adjust the sweetness level by using more or less chocolate peanut butter morsels or adding additional sweeteners like honey or maple syrup.
– Experiment with different types of chocolate morsels or chips to personalize the flavor to your preference.
– Try adding a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for a warm, comforting touch of spice.
– To make it even more indulgent, add a drizzle of caramel sauce or sprinkle crushed peanuts on top as a delightful garnish.
