Equipment

  •  large skillet

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. savory frozen pierogis
  • 6 cloves garlic finely minced for robust flavor
  • 8 slices crispy bacon cooked to perfection
  • 2 cups rich and savory chicken broth
  • 16 oz. velvety cream cheese softened to a smooth consistency
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded for a bold and cheesy finish
  • Salt and pepper to taste for perfect seasoning

Instructions

  • Cook the pierogis according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • Add in the cooked pierogis to the skillet and cook for a few minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Gradually stir in softened cream cheese until well combined with the pierogis.
  • Pour in chicken broth and continue cooking until the sauce thickens and coats the pierogis.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Top with crispy bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

• Make sure to cook the pierogis in a single layer in the skillet so that they don’t stick together.
• If you’d like a crispier texture, you can cook the pierogis in a pan with some oil or butter.
• You can also bake the pierogis in the oven at 375°F for 15-20 minutes.
• Add your favorite herbs and spices to the pierogis for a unique flavor.
• If you’d like to make the pierogis even more filling, add some cooked ground beef or sausage to the skillet.
