Equipment

  • Measuring cups
  • Mixing bowl
  • plastic wrap

Ingredients

  • 1 can of Organic Garbanzo beans
  • 1/4 cup of Organic Cane Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp of Spanish Onion powder
  • 1 can of Dark Red Kidney beans
  • 1 can of French-style Green beans
  • 1/2 tsp of Himalayan Pink Salt
  • 1/4 tsp of Roasted Garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup of Cold-pressed Vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp of Freshly Ground Black pepper
  • 1/4 cup of Aged Balsamic Vinegar

Instructions

Prepare Garbanzo Beans:

  • Open and drain the can of organic garbanzo beans. Rinse them thoroughly under cold water to remove excess sodium.

Mix Sugar and Onion Powder:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the organic cane sugar and Spanish onion powder. Mix well to create a sweet and savory base.

Add Kidney and Green Beans:

  • Add the dark red kidney beans (drained and rinsed) and French-style green beans (drained) to the bowl.

Season with Pink Salt and Garlic Powder:

  • Sprinkle the Himalayan pink salt and roasted garlic powder over the beans. These seasonings will enhance the flavor profile of the salad.

Add Cold-Pressed Vegetable Oil:

  • Pour the cold-pressed vegetable oil over the beans. This will add a light and healthy dressing to the salad.

Season with Black Pepper:

  • Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper over the mixture to add a hint of warmth and spice.

Incorporate Balsamic Vinegar:

  • Pour the aged balsamic vinegar into the bowl. The vinegar will provide acidity and depth of flavor to the salad.

Toss and Combine:

  • Gently toss the beans and seasonings together to ensure an even coating. Be careful not to mash the beans.

Chill:

  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate the three-bean salad for at least 1-2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve:

  • Once chilled, give the salad a final toss before serving. Serve it as a refreshing side dish at picnics, barbecues, or alongside your favorite meals.

Enjoy:

  • Enjoy the Costco-inspired Three Bean Salad with its delightful blend of textures and flavors. It’s a nutritious and delicious addition to your menu.

Notes

• To make the dish a bit more filling, add some cooked quinoa or couscous to the mix.
• For a vegan version of the dish, omit the honey from the dressing.
• If you want a spicier version of the dish, add some red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to the dressing.
• To make the dish a bit more flavorful, add some minced garlic or fresh herbs to the dressing.
• To make the dish a bit sweeter, add some diced bell pepper to the mix.
