Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 pounds Shrimp
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon Slap Ya Mama
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 4 ounce cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup pasta water
  • 16 ounce medium shells
  • 4 ounce diced green chilies
  • 10 ounce Rotel
  • 1 cup sharp shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  • Add in diced onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in beef broth, Slap Ya Mama, garlic salt, onion powder, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a separate pot, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the starchy pasta water before draining.
  • Add in cream cheese, sour cream, and reserved pasta water to the skillet with the ground beef mixture. Stir until well combined and creamy.
  • Drain shrimp and add to the skillet, stirring until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  • Stir in green chilies and Rotel, then add in the cooked pasta. Mix until well combined.
  • Serve hot and top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.

Notes

• Make sure to break up the ground beef into small pieces before adding it to the skillet.
• You can use any type of pasta for this recipe, from spaghetti to penne.
• Add additional herbs and spices for extra flavor.
• If the pasta is not cooked through after 10 minutes, add a little bit of water to the skillet to help it cook.
• If you want to make the dish healthier, you can substitute ground turkey for the ground beef.
• If you want a spicier dish, add some red pepper flakes.
