Ingredients

  • Protein baked goods mix- 2 scoops.
  • Whole wheat flour – 1 tbsp
  • Formula 1 whichever flavor you want – 2 scoops.
  • Oatmeals- 1 cup.
  • Baking powder – 1 tbsp.
  • Some fresh fruits.
  • Milk- 1 cup.
  • Egg – 1 piece.
  • Coconut / Olive oil- 1 tbsp.
  • Sugar-free caramel syrup or any kind of syrup – 2tbsp.
  • Salt- ½ pinch.
  • Maple syrup- 2tbsp.

Instructions

  • Preheat the waffle maker to 300°F. Grease it with olive oil or coconut oil.
  • In a large bowl, stir together the protein baked goods mix, whole wheat flour, Formula 1 and oats.
  • Add baking powder and salt to the dry ingredients in the bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the milk, egg and oil together until blended.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Spoon the mixture into the greased waffle maker, close the lid and let it bake for 6-7 minutes or until golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Once the waffle is ready, take it out of the maker. Gently fold in your choice of fresh fruits and sugar-free caramel syrup or other syrup.
  • Serve warm with additional maple syrup, if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Try adding nuts or dried fruits to the mix for an extra crunch and flavor. 
  • Substitute the oats for quinoa or wheat germ for an even healthier option. 
  • Swap out the vanilla extract for almond extract for a nutty flavor. 
  • Add a dollop of low-fat Greek yogurt or a tablespoon of honey for a bit of  sweetness. 
  • Add a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on top for a delicious crunch.
