Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Small Onion finely diced
  • ½ tbsp Chili Powder
  • 3 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 6 Cloves Garlic finely diced
  • 1 Lemon
  • 2 Sprigs Fresh Thyme or 1 teaspoon dried
  • Black Pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 250 grams Unsalted Butter

Instructions

Step 1:

  • Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Step 2:

  • Add the finely diced onion and garlic to the melted butter.

Step 3:

  • Sauté the onion and garlic until they become translucent and fragrant.

Step 4:

  • Stir in the Old Bay seasoning, fresh thyme (or dried thyme), smoked paprika, and chili powder.

Step 5:

  • Mix all the ingredients thoroughly to ensure even distribution of flavors.

Step 6:

  • Season the sauce with freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste.

Step 7:

  • Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the sauce and stir well to incorporate.

Step 8:

  • For a touch of sweetness, add a tablespoon of brown sugar (optional).

Step 9:

  • Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Step 10:

  • Remove the saucepan from heat and let the hot n juicy sauce cool slightly before serving.
