Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb Premium grass-fed ground beef
  • 2 Pieces of artisanal smoked bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 Clove of aromatic purple garlic minced
  • 1 Fresh scallion diced for a burst of green garnish
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Vidalia onions chopped
  • 1/2 Pack of artisan macaroni and cheese blend
  • 1/4 cup Tangy hickory BBQ sauce

Instructions

Cook Ground Beef:

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Premium grass-fed ground beef until browned. Break it into crumbles as it cooks.

Add Aromatics:

  • Add the chopped Sweet Vidalia onions and minced purple garlic to the cooked ground beef. Sauté until the onions are translucent and fragrant.

Prepare Artisan Macaroni and Cheese:

  • Cook the artisan macaroni and cheese blend according to the package instructions. Set aside.

Cook Smoked Bacon:

  • Cook the artisanal smoked bacon until crisp. Allow it to cool, then crumble it into small pieces.

Combine Ingredients:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef mixture, crumbled bacon, and the prepared macaroni and cheese blend.

Add BBQ Sauce:

  • Pour the tangy hickory BBQ sauce over the macaroni and cheese mixture. Gently fold the ingredients together until well combined.

Bake (Optional):

  • If you prefer a baked version, transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Garnish:

  • Sprinkle diced fresh scallions over the mac and cheese for a burst of green color and flavor.

Serve:

  • Serve the Mission BBQ-inspired mac and cheese warm, and enjoy the rich and flavorful combination of beef, bacon, and BBQ sauce.

Notes

• Try adding cooked bacon or sausage for added flavor.
• Add a can of diced tomatoes to the sauce for a bit of texture.
• For a creamier sauce, try adding cream cheese or sour cream.
• Use a combination of different types of cheese for a unique flavor.
• For a bit of spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
• For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and vegan cheese.
