Equipment

  • bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 cups high-quality extra virgin olive oil or rich avocado oil
  • 1/2 cup smooth and crisp white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice for a zesty and vibrant flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt for a balanced seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon aromatic onion granules or powdered onions for depth of flavor
  • 2 tablespoons pure and natural maple syrup adding a hint of sweetness to complement the savory notes
  • 2 cloves of fresh garlic finely minced for a robust and savory undertone

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the olive oil, white vinegar, lime juice, sea salt, and onion granules until well combined.
  • Add in the maple syrup and minced garlic and continue to whisk until fully incorporated.
  • Taste the dressing and adjust any seasonings as needed to suit your preference.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for later use.

Notes

• Make sure to use freshly squeezed citrus juices, as the bottled juices do not have the same flavor.
• You can use any type of vinegar you like, but white wine vinegar is recommended as it has a milder flavor.
• For a spicier dressing, add a few dashes of hot sauce or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
• This dressing is great on salads, but can also be used as a marinade for grilled vegetables or as a dipping sauce for chicken or shrimp.
• The dressing will thicken slightly when chilled. If it gets too thick, just whisk in a few teaspoons of water to thin it out.
