- 4 Gallons water
- 50 packets dark tea
- 5 pounds Fresh blackberries
- 6 whole lemons
- 6 pounds Honey
- 2 packet White Wine Yeast
- 4 large cinnamon sticks
Begin by sanitizing all equipment that will come into contact with your mead, including the fermenting bucket and any utensils.
In a large pot, bring 4 gallons of water to a boil and then add in 50 packets of dark tea.
Allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes before removing it from heat and letting it cool to room temperature.
While the tea is cooling, crush 5 pounds of fresh blackberries and juice 6 whole lemons.
Once the tea has cooled, pour it into a sanitized fermenting bucket and add the crushed blackberries, lemon juice, and 6 pounds of honey. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
Sprinkle 2 packets of white wine yeast on top of the mixture and stir gently.
Place a lid on the fermenting bucket and insert an airlock to allow gases to escape during the fermentation process.
Store the bucket in a cool, dark place for 2-4 weeks, checking on it occasionally.
After 2-4 weeks, transfer the mead into sanitized bottles using a siphon and bottle filler.
Add one large cinnamon stick to each bottle for added flavor and seal with a cork.
Age the mead in a cool, dark place for an additional 2-4 weeks before enjoying.
Making Skyrim mead at home is a fun and rewarding experience. Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your mead-making experience:
– Use high-quality ingredients. Cheap, low-quality ingredients can lead to a poor-tasting mead.
– Use a thermometer to monitor the temperature of the mead during fermentation. The ideal temperature is between 65-75°F.
– Allow the mead to ferment for at least 7 days. This will ensure that the mead is properly fermented and the alcohol content is correct.
– Strain the mead before bottling to remove any sediment or debris.
– Store the mead in a cool, dark place. This will help to preserve the flavor and quality of the mead.
