Ingredients

  • 20 ounces of zesty jalapeno-infused chicken sausage
  • 8 colorful bell peppers thinly sliced (you can use a mix of red, green, yellow, and orange peppers for a visually appealing dish)
  • 4 vibrant and sweet yellow onions thinly sliced
  • 4 teaspoons of high-quality cooking oil such as olive oil, canola oil, or your preferred cooking oil

Instructions

  • Begin by thinly slicing the yellow onions and colorful bell peppers.
  • Heat 2 teaspoons of cooking oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced onions to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes, until they start to caramelize.
  • Push the onions to one side of the skillet and add the sliced bell peppers to the other side. Sauté for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Remove the sautéed vegetables from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  • In the same skillet, heat another 2 teaspoons of cooking oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add in the jalapeno chicken sausage, sliced into bite-sized pieces. Cook for 6-8 minutes, until nicely browned and cooked through.
  • Add the sautéed vegetables back to the skillet with the chicken sausage. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow all flavors to combine.
