  • 5.5 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 3 cups dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cup oats quick cooking
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 24 ounce bag semisweet chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, shortening, and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until well combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chunks and milk chocolate chips.
  • Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop dough onto prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden brown.
