Ingredients

  • 16 Ounce Creamette Lasagna
  • 32 oz. Italian Sausage
  • 48 oz. Prego Pasta Sauce
  • 32 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • Ground black pepper
  • Salt
  • 2 tablespoon dried parsley flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Cook Creamette Lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together Prego Pasta Sauce, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, one cup of mozzarella cheese, eggs, nutmeg, sugar, black pepper, and salt.
  • Spread a thin layer of the sauce mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Layer half of the cooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, followed by half of the remaining sauce and half of the cooked sausage. Repeat layers.
  • Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
  • Sprinkle with dried parsley flakes before serving.
