Ingredients

  • 8 cups Cuban oregano
  • 8 Tablespoon fresh cilantro chopped
  • 4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 8 cups fresh orange juice
  • 2 cup chopped garlic
  • 10 Tablespoon sea salt
  • 4 cup olive oil
  • 8 Tablespoon black pepper
  • 4 cup chopped onion
  • 6 tablespoon cumin grounded

Instructions

  • Wash and chop the Cuban oregano, cilantro, garlic, and onion.
  • In a food processor or blender, combine the Cuban oregano, cilantro, lime juice, orange juice, garlic, sea salt, olive oil, black pepper, onion, and cumin.
  • Blend until the ingredients are well combined and the sauce is smooth.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Notes

  • If you can’t find Cuban oregano, you can use regular oregano as a substitute. However, the flavor may not be as strong.
  • For a spicier version, add some chopped jalapeno or red chili pepper to the sauce before blending.
  • This sauce is versatile and can be used on various dishes such as grilled meats, salads, and even as a marinade.
