Equipment

  • Frypan
  • spatula
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds of Chicken Wings
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon Hot Sauce
  • 1 cup Honey
  • 12 Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 tablespoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, honey, minced garlic cloves, salt, paprika, ground ginger, cayenne pepper and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Pat dry the chicken wings and place them in a separate mixing bowl. Pour the marinade over the wings, making sure they are well coated. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • In a separate shallow dish, crack the eggs and beat until fully mixed.
  • In another dish, mix together the flour, salt, paprika, ground ginger, cayenne pepper and pepper.
  • Take each wing from the marinade and dip in the beaten eggs before coating it fully in the flour mixture.
  • In a frypan over medium-high heat, add a couple of tablespoons of oil. Once heated, add the wings to the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides (about 3-4 minutes each side).
  • Place the cooked wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for an additional 20 minutes until fully cooked.
  • While the wings are baking, pour the BBQ sauce into a small saucepan over low heat and add in any remaining marinade from the chicken. Allow to simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Once the wings are fully cooked, remove them from the oven and toss them in the BBQ sauce to fully coat.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Dallas BBQ Sticky Wings!

Notes

– For a spicier dish, add more cayenne pepper to the sauce.
– For an extra burst of flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lime juice to the sauce.
– If you like your wings extra crispy, broil them for a few minutes after baking.
– For a unique flavor, try adding a tablespoon of your favorite barbecue sauce to the marinade.
– If you want to avoid the mess, try baking the wings in a foil pouch.
