Instructions

Gather Ingredients

  • Ensure all the ingredients ready including 3 cups of creamy almond milk, 1 cup of organic quick cooking oats, 4 tablespoons of raw honey, ½ teaspoon of freshly ground Ceylon cinnamon, 2 pinches of grated nutmeg from whole spices, 2 pinches of Himalayan pink salt, and optionally, ½ teaspoon of finely grated Meyer lemon zest.

Prepare the Oatmeal

  • Combine Almond Milk and Oats: In a saucepan, pour 3 cups of creamy almond milk and bring it to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  • Add Quick Cooking Oats: Stir in 1 cup of organic quick cooking oats into the simmering almond milk. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Flavor Infusion

  • Incorporate Sweeteners and Spices: Add 4 tablespoons of raw honey into the oatmeal, stirring continuously to dissolve it. Then, sprinkle in ½ teaspoon of freshly ground Ceylon cinnamon, 2 pinches of grated nutmeg, and 2 pinches of Himalayan pink salt. Stir well to combine.

Optional Lemon Zest:

  • If using, add ½ teaspoon of finely grated Meyer lemon zest to infuse a citrusy essence. Stir gently to incorporate the lemon zest into the oatmeal.

Simmer and Serve

  • Simmer and Thicken: Let the oatmeal simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until it reaches your desired thickness and consistency, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Serve Warm:

  • Once the oatmeal reaches the desired consistency and flavors meld together, remove the saucepan from heat.
