Filipino Sari Sari is a traditional Filipino recipe that dates back to the Spanish colonial period. It is a simple dish made with a variety of ingredients that can be found in almost any Filipino household.
In a large pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.
Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
Stir in the chicken or beef and cook until browned.
Once the meat is cooked, add in the shrimp paste and stir until well combined.
Add in the vegetables and cook until they are slightly softened.
Pour in the soy sauce and fish sauce, and mix everything together.
Let the dish simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the meat is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender.
Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Serve over steamed white rice and top with your choice of condiments, such as chopped tomatoes, sliced green onions, or chili peppers.
