Equipment

Ingredients

FOR THE SUGAR SHINE:

  • 25 cups of filtered water
  • 2 kg sugar
  • 2 pack-Bread yeast

For the moonshine hunch punch:

  • 8 cups of moonshine/sugar shine
  • 8 cups of fresh fruit punch
  • 4 cups of pineapple juice
  • 8 cups of fresh lemon-lime soda
  • 4 cups of orange juice

Instructions

  • Make the sugar shine: In a small pot, mix together 25 cups of filtered water and 2 kg of sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until all the sugar is dissolved. Let it cool to room temperature.
  • Add the bread yeast: Once the sugar mixture has cooled, add 2 packs of bread yeast and stir well. Transfer the mixture to a jar and seal it tightly.
  • Let it ferment: Place the jar in a cool, dark place for about 4-5 days, or until bubbles start forming on top of the mixture. This indicates that fermentation is taking place.
  • Make the hunch punch: In a large bowl, mix together 8 cups of moonshine/sugar shine, 8 cups of fresh fruit punch, 4 cups of pineapple juice, 8 cups of fresh lemon-lime soda, and 4 cups of orange juice.
  • Serve and enjoy: Pour the hunch punch into glasses filled with ice and serve immediately. You can also garnish with slices of fresh fruit for added flavor and presentation.

Notes

• Make sure to use freshly squeezed juices for the best flavor.
• You can substitute other fruit juices for the ones listed in the recipe if you prefer.
• If you want to make a bigger batch of hunch punch moonshine, simply double the ingredients.
• You can add additional garnishes such as fresh fruit slices or mint leaves for a nice presentation.
• You can also adda bit of club soda to the punch for a bit of fizz.
