  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg slightly beaten
  • cups “JIFFY” Baking Mix
  • 1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
  • ¼ cup butter cold
  • 3/4 cup milk

Step 2: Baking the Cake

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake the coffee cake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 3: Serving the Coffee Cake

  • Allow the cake to cool slightly before slicing it into squares.
  • Serve the Jiffy Mix Coffee Cake warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.

Notes

– For a nut-free version, simply omit the chopped pecans or nuts from the recipe.
– You can add a tablespoon of cinnamon to the batter for a warm and spicy flavor profile.
– Leftover coffee cake can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
– To reheat the cake, simply microwave individual slices for 10-15 seconds until warm.
– Feel free to drizzle a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and milk over the cooled cake for added sweetness.
