Ingredients

For the Graham cracker crust

  • 1 cup Melted butter
  • 4 cups crushed Graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar

For the key lime filling

  • 6 large eggs separated
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 oz can Sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 cup Key lime juice
  • 4 tsp lime zest grated lime peel

For the whipped topping

  • 4 cups Heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp Powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, cinnamon, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  • Press the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish, making sure to press it evenly along the bottom and up the sides of the dish.
  • Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • In another mixing bowl, beat egg yolks until they become pale yellow in color.
  • Add in lemon juice, sweetened condensed milk, sugar, key lime juice and lime zest. Mix until well combined.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the mixture with a spatula.
  • Pour the filling into the prepared crust and smooth out the top with a spatula.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the filling is set.
  • Let the pie cool completely before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • Spread the whipped topping over the cooled pie.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy your delicious Kenny Chesney Key Lime Pie!
