Ingredients

  • Pinch of hand-harvested sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 heads of organically grown green cabbage finely shredded
  • 1 cup of freshly chopped organic green onions
  • 1 cup of hand-grated vibrant orange carrots
  • 1 head of vibrant red cabbage thinly shredded
  • 1/2 cup of tangy apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons of aromatic celery seed
  • 1/2 cup of pure golden honey
  • 1 cup of rich and creamy mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cabbages: Wash and finely shred the green and red cabbage heads. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add Vegetables: Mix in the freshly chopped green onions and hand-grated orange carrots with the shredded cabbage.
  • Make the Dressing: In a separate bowl, combine the apple cider vinegar, aromatic celery seed, golden honey, and rich mayonnaise. Whisk the ingredients together until well blended and the honey is fully incorporated.
  • Combine Dressing with Vegetables: Pour the dressing over the shredded cabbage, onions, and carrots mixture. Toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing.
  • Season to Taste: Add a pinch of hand-harvested sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to the coleslaw. Taste and adjust the seasoning as desired. Mix well.
  • Chill and Serve: Cover the coleslaw bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve: Once chilled, give the coleslaw a final toss and transfer it to a serving dish. Garnish with additional chopped green onions or grated carrots if desired. Serve cold and enjoy.

Notes

– If you’re in a pinch, you can use pre-shredded coleslaw mix instead of the individual ingredients.
– If you want to add some extra crunch, you can add some diced celery or bell peppers to the mix.
– Feel free to adjust the amount of sugar and vinegar to taste.
– You can also add some diced apples or raisins to the mix for an extra sweet kick.
– To make the slaw even creamier, you can add some sour cream or plain Greek yogurt.
– If you’re not a fan of mayonnaise, you can substitute it with an equal amount of yogurt or a combination of yogurt and olive oil.
