- 3 cup of mountain dew
- 2 cup of whipping cream or heavy cream
- 1 cup of condensed milk
- 2 pinch of green food color optional
In a large bowl, mix the Mountain Dew and condensed milk together until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whip the whipping cream or heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
Gently fold the whipped cream into the Mountain Dew mixture, being careful not to overmix.
Add a few drops of food color, if desired, and gently mix until the desired shade is achieved.
Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and cover with plastic wrap or lid.
Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
When ready to serve, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften before scooping onto a large plate or bowl.
Enjoy your homemade Mountain Dew Ice Cream!
- For an extra citrusy kick, add a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice to the mixture before freezing.
- Get creative with toppings! Crushed graham crackers, whipped cream, and cherries are great options to top off your ice cream.
- If you don’t have condensed milk, you can substitute it with 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of milk. Just mix them together until the sugar dissolves before adding it to the Mountain Dew mixture.
- Make sure to use a freezer-safe container for freezing the ice cream. A metal or glass loaf pan works well.
