Equipment

  • Hand whisk/ electric beater
  • scoop
  • Ice
  • large plate

Ingredients

  • 3 cup of mountain dew
  • 2 cup of whipping cream or heavy cream
  • 1 cup of condensed milk
  • 2 pinch of green food color optional

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix the Mountain Dew and condensed milk together until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the whipping cream or heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the Mountain Dew mixture, being careful not to overmix.
  • Add a few drops of food color, if desired, and gently mix until the desired shade is achieved.
  • Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and cover with plastic wrap or lid.
  • Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  • When ready to serve, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften before scooping onto a large plate or bowl.
  • Enjoy your homemade Mountain Dew Ice Cream!

Notes

  • For an extra citrusy kick, add a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice to the mixture before freezing.
  • Get creative with toppings! Crushed graham crackers, whipped cream, and cherries are great options to top off your ice cream.
  • If you don’t have condensed milk, you can substitute it with 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of milk. Just mix them together until the sugar dissolves before adding it to the Mountain Dew mixture.
  • Make sure to use a freezer-safe container for freezing the ice cream. A metal or glass loaf pan works well.
