Ahí poke is a traditional Hawaiian dish, typically made with raw fish and various seasonings. In recent years, it has gained popularity in the mainland U.S., as well as internationally.
Ensure the Ahi Tuna is fresh and cut it into 1/8-inch cubes. Place the cubes in a mixing bowl.
Chop Green Onions:
Chop approximately 2 tablespoons of green onions and add them to the bowl with the tuna.
Add Soy Sauce:
Pour 2 tablespoons of soy sauce over the tuna and green onions in the bowl.
Include Macadamia Nuts:
Add 1 tablespoon of chopped macadamia nuts to the mixture for a nutty texture.
Drizzle Sesame Oil:
Drizzle 1/2 tablespoon of sesame oil over the ingredients for a rich and savory flavor.
Incorporate Dried Seaweed:
Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of dried seaweed into the bowl. Make sure it is evenly distributed.
Grate Ginger Root:
Grate approximately 1/4 teaspoon of fresh ginger root and add it to the mixture. This adds a hint of spiciness and warmth.
Sprinkle Sesame Seeds:
Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of sesame seeds into the bowl for added texture and a nutty flavor.
Squeeze Lemon Juice:
Squeeze the juice from half a lemon, about 1/2 teaspoon, into the mixture to brighten the flavors.
Mix Gently:
Gently toss all the ingredients together until the tuna is well coated with the flavors. Be careful not to break up the tuna cubes too much.
Chill and Marinate:
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the Ahi Poke for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the tuna to marinate.
Serve and Enjoy:
Once chilled, serve the Ahi Poke in individual bowls or on a platter. Garnish with additional sesame seeds or green onions if desired. Enjoy your delicious Roy’s Ahi
