Ingredients

  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon salt1 cup warm milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and yeast.
  • In another bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, salt, warm milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until well combined.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Punch down the dough and knead again for 2-3 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into two equal parts and shape into loaves. Place them in greased loaf pans and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bake the loaves for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before removing and placing on a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Serve and enjoy your homemade Costco cinnamon bread!

Notes

• Make sure you don’t overmix the batter. Overmixing it will result in a dense and heavy loaf.
• If the top of the loaf starts to get too brown, cover it with a piece of foil for the last few minutes of baking.
• For extra flavor, top the loaf with a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar before baking.
• If you can’t find all-purpose flour, you can substitute with whole wheat flour or a combination of all-purpose and whole wheat.
• You can also use melted coconut oil or vegetable oil in place of the melted butter.
